About Afotamodi USA

Afotamodi USA started in the Year 2020 as a vibrant, action-oriented diaspora group that translates cultural identity into tangible support for Isara Remo. It bridges the U.S.-based community with the homeland through education initiatives, cultural events, and infrastructure aid, embodying the spirit of “Afotamodi K’ogun Ma Wolu” (the festival’s rallying call for strength and resilience). Activities are often coordinated with local Isara bodies like the Isara Development Council. Afotamodi USA is an an association of indigenes of Isara Remo and surrounding communities residing in the United States. The organization is known for community-development and educational support projects targeted at their hometown in Nigeria.

Afotamodi USA organizes events like annual Gala Nights. Gala Nights (e.g., 2022 and 2024 editions) to celebrate Isara culture on U.S. soil, foster unity, and fundraise for projects back home. It has been active in recent years with documented initiatives such as educational donations.

Afotamodi USA has been actively involved in community development initiatives in Isara Remo, including:

Distribution of educational materials to students in public schools.
Support for school infrastructure projects.
Scholarships and educational assistance programs.
Community welfare and development interventions.

A notable project reported in 2024 involved the donation of educational materials worth over ₦45 million to hundreds of students in Remo North Local Government Area

The Afotamodi USA is a non-profit charitable non-party/apolitucal volunteer organisation that inspires a passion for and commitment to the land, the people, and the futute of Isara-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. Our Mission is to b an active Isara-Remo community that promotes, supports and ensure the collectiive well-being of Isara-Remo community in the United States of America. That association shall not onlyserve as valuable resource for the Isara-Remo community, but strives to preserve the Isara-Remoheritage and culture.
